It is with great excitement that we announce the successful commencement of the 4th RoboCup Asia-Pacific Tianjin Invitational Tournament (RCAP-TJI2023). The opening ceremony took place on the 20th of May, 2023, at Hall S2 in the National Convention & Exhibition Center (Tianjin) from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
The ceremony was graced with the presence of distinguished VIPs who provided enlightening welcome speeches. The speakers included:
- Mr. Wenhai Li, Deputy Mayor, Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, China
- Professor Jiadao Wang, Dean, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University, and Dean of Tianjin Research Institute for Advanced Equipment, Tsinghua University, China
- Professor Changjiu Zhou, President, RoboCup Asia-Pacific Confederation
- Professor Fernando Ribeiro, Trustee, RoboCup Federation
- Professor Li Liu, General Chair of RCAP Tianjin Invitational Tournament 2023.
The ceremony was expertly presided over by Professor Chuxiong Hu, Deputy Dean, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University.
The event marked a significant milestone as it was the first in-person RCAP tournament since 2019. The collaboration with the World Intelligence Congress (WIC) amplified the event’s importance, further enhancing the synergy between global robotics and intelligent technology sectors.
We extend our gratitude to the VIPs, participants, and attendees from around the globe, including Portugal, Australia, Egypt, Iran, and Singapore, for their valuable contributions. We eagerly look forward to the unfolding of this technological spectacle over the next few days.
