Closing Ceremony of the 18th RoboCup Singapore Open was held at Science Centre Singapore

April 12, 2026 — Science Centre Singapore

The 18th RoboCup Singapore Open ended today with its award and closing ceremony at Science Centre Singapore. The ceremony closed three days of competition and the last day of RoboFest 2026.

This year the Open was the RoboCup Arena of RoboFest 2026, Science Centre Singapore’s first festival dedicated to robotics and AI. The festival ran from April 9–12 under the theme “Meet Tomorrow, Today” and invited families, students and the public to see robots up close. Around the competition, visitors could watch live robot shows, join hands-on robotics and AI workshops, attend talks and see applied robotics projects from universities and industry. Festival partners included the Ministry of Education, GovTech, AI Singapore, the National University of Singapore and the RoboCup Singapore Regional Committee.

Students competed in RoboCupJunior Soccer, Rescue and OnStage, the RCAP CoSpace League, the RoboCup Humanoid Soccer League (HSL) in the Middle and Small divisions, and the RCAP Education Program. The Open is the RoboCup Singapore National Selection, so it decides which teams will represent Singapore at RoboCup Asia-Pacific 2026 and at the RoboCup 2026 World Championship in Incheon, Korea. Several winning teams have also been invited to the RCAP Tianjin Invitational Tournament in May.

RCAP congratulates all award winners and thanks our co-organiser NTU School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, sponsors and supporters, including Booster Robotics, HURO, Science Centre Singapore and RoboCup (Singapore) Association. We also thank the RoboFest team, our partners, and the volunteers, teachers and parents who made the event a success.
