The inaugural World Humanoid Robot Games (WHRG) opened today at the National Speed Skating Oval (Ice Ribbon), bringing together the world’s leading humanoid robot teams for high-level competition and international exchange.
Jointly hosted by the Beijing Municipal Government, China Media Group, the World Robot Cooperation Organization, and RoboCup Asia-Pacific (RCAP), the three-day Games have attracted 280 teams from 16 countries, with 26 gold medals to be awarded.
A centerpiece of the Games is the RCAP Beijing Masters, part of RoboCup Asia-Pacific’s competition series and an official branch of RoboCup — the world’s top humanoid football competition. For the first time, a humanoid robot football match is being staged at an Olympic venue, marking a milestone in the development of multi-agent systems and collaborative decision-making technologies.
The WHRG RCAP Beijing Masters will be held from August 14 to 17, 2025 at the National Speed Skating Oval (Ice Ribbon) in Beijing.
