RCAP CoSpace Humanoid OnStage is a new RoboCup Asia-Pacific (RCAP) competition designed for students at different education levels, from primary school to secondary school and university.
As a new educational competition for the era of AI, robotics, and embodied intelligence, RCAP CoSpace Humanoid OnStage provides a progressive learning pathway — from beginner-friendly exploration to the development of core competencies for the AI era.
About the CoSpace OnStage
The competition integrates AI, humanoid robots, virtual worlds, story creation, stage performance, digital arts, and engineering practice. Students do not merely “use AI”; rather, they engage with AI as both a creative partner and an engineering tool to support script development, character design, 3D scene construction, music and sound effect production, visual effects generation, humanoid robot programming, and live stage performance.
At its core, RCAP CoSpace Humanoid OnStage encourages students to integrate AI, humanoid robotics and arts to create performances that connect the virtual and physical worlds. Virtual characters, physical humanoid robots, interactive props, and student performers come together within a shared stage environment, transforming imagination into visible, testable, and shareable creative works.
More importantly, RCAP CoSpace Humanoid OnStage is an inclusive robotics and AI education competition. It welcomes students with no prior experience and supports project-based learning that fosters creativity, teamwork, programming skills, engineering practice, artistic expression, and public presentation.
Through the integration of robotics, AI, and the arts, RCAP CoSpace Humanoid OnStage helps students progress from STEM learning to STEAM innovation.
